A Coquitlam man went out for a dog walk Sunday. He hasn't returned

According to a social media post, Robert Belding’s dog was found wet at Shaughnessy Street and David Avenue in Coquitlam.

Coquitlam Search and Rescue and Mounties are looking for a 59-year-old man who was last seen near the Coquitlam River on Sunday night.

Robert Belding was close to Pipeline Road and Galette Avenue — north of David Avenue — when he went missing at around 5 p.m. on Oct. 20, 2024.

Police and family are concerned for his well-being.

According to a social media post, Belding’s dog was found wet at Shaughnessy Street and David Avenue.

Belding is described as:

  • White
  • 5’10” tall
  • brown eyes
  • short brown hair
  • white beard

He was last seen wearing:

  • dark pants
  • light-coloured top
  • boots with a brown, black and tan camouflage pattern
