There was a goat chase Friday night

The VPD have captured a goat that was running through the streets of Vancouver Sept. 27, 2024.

The Vancouver police got their goat.

But now the question is where did it come from and where should it go?

The goat was spotted in East Vancouver on Friday, Sept. 27, running around on an apparent evening out along East Broadway.

"Some of Vancouver's finest were able to corral and bring it to an officer’s family farm, while we track down the owner," wrote Deputy Chief Howard Chow in a post on social media.

It's unclear when someone may come forward. Under Vancouver's bylaws goats aren't allowed to be kept as a pet in the city.

In a separate tweet the VPD says the goat is "doing fine."

V.I.A. has emailed the VPD about the goat and will update this story when more information is made available.
