Police seek witnesses in death of Langford man found on sidewalk

West Shore RCMP are investigating the sudden death of a 40-year-old Langford resident found unconscious on a sidewalk.

Police said the man was found near Claude Road and Goldstream Avenue on Tuesday around 10:45 p.m.

Despite the efforts of paramedics and firefighters, the man died at the scene.

Police said there is nothing to suggest foul play, but officers are investigating the circumstances of the death.

Anyone who was walking or driving on Claude Road on Tuesday between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. who might have seen the man walking a black medium-sized dog or who has dashcam footage is asked to call West Shore RCMP at 250-474-2264.

The man was white and was wearing dark jeans and a light-coloured coat.
