More bright and inviting benches will soon be popping up around town thanks to students at Howe Sound Secondary.
The students worked with art teacher Nathalie Boisvert on the OurSquamish project to paint the 10 benches.
OurSquamish provided the benches and supplies, and then the students took it from there.
You might recall that last summer, OurSquamish, with the Squamish Arts Council, showcased 10 benches by 10 different artists for the Squamish Wind Festival.
Next, the colourful students' benches will get a protective coating and join the others in the community.
Funding for the project was provided by the Squamish Community Foundation.
