B.C. search warrant leads to arrest of repeat violent offender

A high-risk offender who is well-known to police was arrested in Chilliwack, B.C., after he was allegedly involved in drug trafficking. 

Kusone Robinson, 22, is designated under an RCMP program called the Repeat Violent Offending Intervention Initiative. 

Cpl. Carmen Kiener said the man was staying at a residence on McNaught Road near Little Mountain when a search warrant was executed on Thursday. That's when Robinson and several other individuals were arrested by the Lower Mainland Integrated Emergency Response Team. 

"This investigation was a collaborative effort between the Chilliwack RCMP Frontline Section and our Priority Target Team,” said Kiener. 

Robinson was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, careless storage of a firearm, possession of a firearm, obstructing a police officer, failing to comply with a probation order and a release order, and possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking and driving while prohibited. 

Robinson currently remains in custody.
