Did you buy this $1M lottery ticket in Metro Vancouver last year?

No one's claimed the prize, and the ticket is about to expire.

There's a new millionaire in Metro Vancouver.

The problem is, the mystery person has been sitting on a seven-figure payday for nearly a year — and has less than two months to claim their earnings.

The BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) said someone bought a Lotto Max ticket in Surrey for the draw on May 21, 2024, and won one of the 10 $1-million Maxmillion prizes available.

The ticketholder has until midnight on May 21, 2025, to come forward. BCLC is encouraging players to double-check all of the Lotto Max tickets they may have purchased during the spring of last year.

The Surrey winner correctly matched the following numbers from the May 21, 2024, draw (see image 2 in gallery): 2, 5, 23, 30, 35, 45, and 46.

"All lottery prize winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize," the corporation said in a statement today, March 31.

"The specific retail location where the winning lottery ticket was purchased, and the lottery winner’s name, will be announced after the winner has come forward to claim the prize."

More than $132 million was won by B.C. residents that played Lotto Max last year, which is drawn nationally every Tuesday and Friday night.
