Gordon Ramsay is taking next venture into Canada's restaurant industry.
His team has chosen Coquitlam as one of its first locations where chefs selected by the world-famous boss from Hell's Kitchen will be flipping gourmet burgers.
Called Gordon Ramsay Burger, the business will open inside the Hard Rock Casino Vancouver (2080 United Blvd.) some time this fall, with Great Canadian partnering with Gordon Ramsay North America to bring the burger joint to the Tri-Cities.
The menu, according to Chef Ramsay, promises a marriage of nostalgic comfort foods with a "culinary finesse."
"We're thrilled to partner with Great Canadian Entertainment to bring our dining concepts to the vibrant Canadian dining scene," said Ramsay in a release from Great Canadian Entertainment today (Aug. 2).
"Canada has a strong culinary market and we can't wait to welcome guests into our new restaurants in the coming months."
The burger joint's website boasts "life-changing" burgers, scratch-made sauces, handcrafted shakes and unique spins on favourites like beer-battered onion rings, Hellfire chicken wings and kettle chip nachos.
It'll also coincides with Gordon Ramsay Steak's first Canadian plot at the River Rock Casino in Richmond.
"We are absolutely thrilled to bring Gordon Ramsay's extraordinary gastronomic vision to our properties," said Great Canadian CEO Matthew Anfinson.
"This partnership represents a monumental moment for our company as the addition of Gordon Ramsay Burger and Gordon Ramsay Steak in British Columbia will offer our guests an unrivalled dining experience and we are eager for the opportunity to introduce additional Gordon Ramsay brands at other Great Canadian destinations in Canada."
Anfinson hopes the design of the restaurants can be inviting for the public in creating a "rich and immersive" dining experience for everyone.
Gordon Ramsay Burger in Coquitlam will be just the fourth of its kind across the continent in addition to those in Las Vegas, Boston and Chicago.
