There's a cheap room for rent in downtown Vancouver, so long as you don't have much stuff.
A Craigslist post is advertising a $650 room in a condo near BC Place. While rent that low for a home located there seems unreal, there's a reason it's so cheap.
The room being rented is absolutely tiny, with barely enough room for a twin bed. The ad says it's eight feet by five feet, but in photos it appears to be an angular room - one end is narrower than the other.
Pictures show three sides of the bed jammed against the wall (one of the walls seems to be a blanket). On one end of the bed, there's enough room for a narrow shelving unit. Luckily the room has a sliding door to get in.
"The room is a very small solarium/den and is ideal for someone with few belongings," states the ad. "It comes with a small, comfy bed (mattress + bed frame), shelving unit, clothes rack, and sliding door."
Two other roommates are living in the space; whoever goes for the tiny room will be the third. The rest of the condo is a relatively normal space with a washer and drier, balcony, and is close to the Stadium-Chinatown SkyTrain station.
The roommates are looking for someone who is "chill" for what they describe as a "laid-back home."
