Krystian Cogswell, 22, of Surrey has been charged with murder, attempted murder and two aggravated assaults.

A Surrey man is wanted on charges of murder, attempted murder and two aggravated assaults after a Northwest Territories incident left one man dead and two others with serious injuries.

RCMP in Fort Providence, N.W.T., responded to calls March 15 that three people had been shot in a residence.

Officers found a 31-year-old male dead.

An injured male was found on scene and taken to hospital.

The third man had already been taken to a health centre prior to police arrival and was subsequently airlifted to Yellowknife to receive emergency treatment.

Krystian Cogswell, 22, of Surrey has been charged but remains at large. Police consider him armed and dangerous.

A Canada-wide warrant for Cogswell’s arrest has been issued and investigators are looking for him.

"The investigation to date shows that Cogswell fled Fort Providence after the shooting and has likely made his way to points south of the territory," police said.

Anyone who has information about Cogswell’s whereabouts is asked to contact their local police station or RCMP Detachment or submit a tip through Crime Stoppers. In the event of an emergency call, 911.
