Traffic moving again after serious crash between Squamish and Whistler

Update at 8:12 p.m on June 19:

Traffic on the Sea to Sky Highway is moving again between Squamish and Whistler. 

Expect continued congestion, after a serious crash closed the highway for a time.

The Squamish Chief has reached out to the RCMP for more information and will update this story if we hear back.

Highway 99 is closed in both directions this hour (8 p.m.) after a serious crash, near Daisy Lake, between Squamish and Whistler.

Air ambulance is on the scene, according to DriveBC.

The crash seems to have happened around 6:30 p.m.

A social media report has the incident at Retta Lake Road.

A driver reports seeing motorcycle debris on the side of the road.

There is no word on when the highway will reopen.
