Patton Oswalt and a big group of Vancouverites sang Beck's New Pollution at the Hastings Mill Brewing Co. in 2023.

Most people know Patton Oswalt as a comedian, from his stand-up shows to his role on King of Queens to voicing Remy in Ratatouille.

Recently, he used his voice for a different purpose in Vancouver, leading the guys from Choir! Choir! Choir! and dozens of Vancouverites in a giant sing-a-long.

It was held at the Hastings Mill Brewing Co. back in February when Oswalt was in town for a Just For Laughs show he was headlining.

The video of that night and their version of Beck's "The New Pollution" has been released.

The video ends with a little of "Only in My Dreams" from Debbie Gibson; Gibson herself responded in the Instagram comments.

"Looove the homáge! Thank you," the 80s pop star wrote.

The show was the last event held Pat's Pub in East Hastings before the brewery shut down to move to Coquitlam. The hotel itself was recently bought by the B.C. government for nearly $64 million.

It wasn't the first time Choir! Choir! Choir! had recorded an ad hoc choir. Over the years they've come to town to sing (with hundreds of locals) a few songs, like Taylor Swift's "Blank Space", "Don't Stop Believing" by Journey, and even a street-level version of "Dreams" by Fleetwood Mac.
