Freebird Table & Oyster Bar to open this spring at Squamish's Executive Suites

Freebird Table & Oyster Bar will soon be opening in the former Norman Rudy's location at Executive Suites Squamish, which closed Feb. 23. 

The new restaurant, part of the Executive Table Group, will open this spring, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner.

A spokesperson told The Squamish Chief that all Norman Rudy's employees had been offered positions at the new restaurant, and many have already accepted. 

"We will also be looking for other staff to join us as we will be open from 7 a.m. until late, seven days a week," she said. 

The new establishment's menu will include "a range of options, from classic comfort food to modern culinary creations, all expertly prepared," the news release states.

There is also a Freebird in Richmond, B.C., at the Executive Hotel at the Vancouver airport.

There will be fresh B.C. oysters, seafood, and Freebird's "award-winning, famous" Nashville fried chicken sandwich

Freebird will also offer local wines, beers, and craft cocktails and have a happy hour that will include a "Buck a Shuck" oysters from 3 to 6 p.m. daily. 

"We wanted to create a space that would be welcoming to everyone in the community," said Claire Wright, one of the managing partners of Freebird Table & Oyster Bar, in the release. "Whether you're a local family looking for a great meal, a hiker in need of some sustenance, or a mountain biker looking for a place to relax and recharge, we've got you covered." 

The restaurant will provide takeout and delivery options.
