Neighbourhood Craft returns to Squamish

The market will showcase over 30 local artists on Saturday, May 11.

The weather on Saturday is looking good for the local market called Neighbourhood Craft.

According to a news release, Neighbourhood Craft will return to downtown Squamish on Saturday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 38174 Cleveland Ave. Over 30 artists, designers and creatives from Squamish and elsewhere will participate.

There is no fee to enter the market.

“Neighbourhood Craft is a way to access free arts and culture in the heart of downtown Squamish,” said founding director Rachel Boguski, who hosts the event alongside partner Laura DiCecco.

“People come to hang out, listen to music, see the range of vendor goods, have a meal—it’s a feel-good place to be. We look forward to welcoming back local artists as well as introducing new artists to the community.”

Some of the products available will include art, ceramics, textiles, jewelry, home goods and more. The market is hosted by a local non-profit called the Neighbourhood Society, which helps transform public spaces through inclusive events to support local artists.

All of the vendors, plus more information about the market, is available on the non-profit’s website at neighbourhoodsociety.ca
