On Tuesday, Sept. 27, Sherry Faye Dubber, loving wife and mother of four, passed away at the age of 73 after a short struggle with cancer.
Sherry was born on Feb. 3, 1949, in Calgary, AB.
On Aug. 7, 1971, she married Dennis Dubber. Sherry attended Grace Baptist Church (1949-1971), Squamish Baptist Church (1975-2003) and Brentview Baptist Church (2004-2022). She worked at Squamish Baptist Church (1985-2003) and The Salvation Army Agapé Hospice (2007-2016). She was a volunteer in many organizations and enjoyed making meaningful things for others and tending her plants.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Aleada (Ohlhauser) Becker. She is survived by her husband, Dennis Dubber; their four children Todd (Kylie) Dubber [Lethbridge, AB], Deane (Tanya Barrett) Dubber [Spaniards Bay, NFLD], Joelle (Darcy) Gullacher [Langley, BC], and Jennine (Rick) Lewis [Osoyoos,BC]; her brother Darrall (Nancy) Becker, sister Annley Wilson, sisters-in-law Beverly (Shaun Rafferty) Dubber, and Shirley Dubber; and her eight grandchildren Cassidy (Jadon) Lichti, Titus & Ella Dubber, Jayne & Anne Gullacher, and Jett & Delaney Lewis.
A celebration of her life was held on Monday, Oct. 3, with family internment at Mountain View Cemetery and a funeral followed at Brentview Baptist Church in Calgary.
