Ask any parent of littles in Squamish what would make summers more enjoyable, and they are sure to have a waterpark on their list.
The District of Squamish has an inclusive and accessible splash park in the plans for Brennan Park, and now the Squamish Lions Club has given the park a cash injection to help it along.
On Feb. 20, the local non-profit service club presented the municipality with $10,000 for the accessible water park and playground.
The District thanked the club for its generosity in a social media post.
The splash park and playground is slated to open in 2025.
The public can fill in a survey on the design until March 1 on the District's website.
