It is not just high school students celebrating graduation at this time of year.

At École Les Aiglons, the first Grade 9 students graduated from the school on June 28.

Three years ago, École Les Aiglons expanded to open a middle years program with five students.

Ali McLeod, Charlotte Gadbois-Schuett and Océane Rhodes are now the program's first graduates.

Parent Christine McLeod told The Squamish Chief in an email that all three will be moving into the immersion program at Howe Sound Secondary in the fall.

Coming up behind them in Grades 7 and 8  is a class of more than 30 students.

The school has grown by two portables, with a third one being installed this summer to accommodate the growing enrolment, according to McLeod.
