The first Discover Aviation Day at the Squamish Municipal Airport-Don Patrick Field was a “huge success,” says one of the event organizers.
The June 15th event was put on by the Squamish Flying Club and the Canadian Owners & Pilots Association.
“We had 151 kids up on 51 free flights with seven aircraft,” said Kathy Cormack.
