Ruth Fenton (nee Carson)
Oct. 22, 1925 to Nov. 29, 2024
It is with heavy hearts and sadness that we announce the death of a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Ruth was born in Toronto and passed away in Squamish with her family by her side.
Survived by daughter Judy (Roy), sons Lyle (Bev) and Ian (Kathy), and daughter Beverly (Bruce).Sister Betty Foote; brothers Bruce (Bup) and Bill Carson; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her husband, Douglas Fenton, and daughter, Carol Raffaele.
Ruth moved to Squamish with her family in the early l930s. The family settled in Brackendale and later moved to a home on River Road, now known as Lily's Garden in Rose Park.
She loved to garden, had a passion for quilting and was active in the ACW.
Ruth lived a full life with compassion and dignity. Family was very important to her, and they will forever treasure her spirit of love and grace.
Rest in Peace.
Service will be held at St. John the Divine Anglican Church, 1930 Diamond Road Squamish, B.C. on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2025, at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Divine Anglican Church or Sea to Sky Hospice Society.
