Summer flashback—See this powered paraglider's flight over Squamish

'Crazy views and daunting tasks going just feet away from the cliff at some points,' he says.

Cody Bandsma, a powered paraglider pilot from Salmon Arm, shares photos and video from his "epic" trip to Squamish, where he flew around the Stawamus Chief.

He launched from Brennan Park.

"Crazy views and daunting tasks going just feet away from the cliff at some points," he said, of his flying in town July 3  to  8.

"When flying a new area, I do reconnaissance flights and stay higher to scope out any random power lines or any type of snagging points or potential dangers before doing the more extreme things at a closer proximity," he noted.

Bandsma recently started training students with FlyBC.

*This story has been corrected since it was first posted to clarify that he launched from Brennan Park, then flew around the Stawamus Chief. The original said he launched from the Stawamus Chief.
