In addition to excited skiers and snowboarders going up the gondola for an early season run, Squamish's John Knicley spotted a bear this morning (Nov. 27) near the upload for the Excalibur Gondola in Whistler.
This is a good reminder that cooler weather doesn’t necessarily mean bears are hibernating in the Sea to Sky.
If you spot a black bear, keep your distance, keep dogs on a leash and remove any attractants.
