The District of Squamish announced this week that an error was made on the curb work constructed on Highlands Way South. The curb placement near Mamquam Road does not reflect the contract design drawings approved by the District of Squamish.
"The district is working with the consultant and contractor on the reconstruction plan," stated a news release. "A design is underway to correct the situation that will minimize the impact to the road users. Work to correct the error will start early next week. The contractor will cover all costs for this rework.
"The District of Squamish wishes to thank the community for bringing this issue forward and appreciates the community's patience and understanding during this construction time."
