BC United leader Kevin Falcon is coming to Squamish for a town hall next week.
On Thursday, March 7, Falcon will be at the Executive Suites Hotel & Resort from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. for an “evening of open discussion, debate, and a BC United Caucus vision for a stronger, healthier, and prosperous British Columbia,” according to the event description.
The hour-and-a-half Squamish stop is part of a tour for the opposition leader, who is also member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the district of Vancouver-Quilchena.
He is also hosting a town hall in Richmond next week and Langley the week after.
The party, previously known as the BC Liberals, has yet to announce a replacement for current West Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA Jordan Sturdy, who has said he will not run again.
The Green Party’s Jeremy Valeriote has announced he will be returning as an MLA candidate, after being narrowly defeated by Sturdy in the 2020 election.
Neither the New Democratic Party of British Columbia (BC NDP) nor the Conservative Party of BC has yet to officially announce candidates for the fall election.
B.C.’s next provincial general election is scheduled for Oct. 19.
