Despite recent warm temperatures, it clearly isn't spring yet, folks.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement to warn residents around Howe Sound — including Squamish — that we are in for a period of frigid temperatures and strong outflow winds.
This weather warning also applies to Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
Monday night temperatures are expected to hover between -5 and -10C, with the wind chill due to an arctic air mass.
This cold dip will last until Wednesday.
"Temperatures will moderate during the day, but will remain well below seasonal normals," the alert reads.
"The outflow winds will be strongest near Howe Sound and the Fraser Valley. There is also another chance of light flurries over the Fraser Valley late tonight into early Tuesday morning."
Bundle up, of course, and ensure there's shelter for provided for pets and outdoor animals.
But don't put away the light jackets for long. The temperatures will warm up later in the week.
