Are you wondering about the traffic heading into or out of town at the moment?

Well, there is a new Squamish traffic cam in town to give drivers more insight, the BC Ministry of Transportation & Infrastructure (MOTI) announced on Saturday (May 28).

Whistler also has a new camera at Bayshore Drive

The newest @DriveBC highway cam in Squamish faces the pedestrian overpass on Valley Drive, MOTI said in a Tweet.

One "Hwy 99 at Valley Drive in Squamish," image looks north, and the other looks south.

You can see the current traffic or watch a video of the day's movement up and down the highway.

As a reminder, the pillars of the pedestrian overpass were designed by Squamish Nation artist Rick Harry (Xwalacktun) back in 2012.

Read the Ministry blog about putting up that bridge or check out this archival video about its construction.
