Cram the Cruiser is back in Squamish

After a two-year hiatus, the RCMP charity event returns on Nov. 27.

After two years of postponements, the RCMP's Cram the Cruiser event is back supporting a local charity.

First responders will be on hand with two police cars at Walmart, at 39210 Discovery Way, on Nov. 27.

Those who can are invited to come out and load up the vehicles with items supporting Squamish Community Christmas Care.

Officers will accept donations — toys, food, gift cards, and/or money — from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

“Our goal is to fill the back equipment and back seat areas of at least two police cruisers,” said Cpl. Angela Kermer of Sea to Sky RCMP in a news release. “Weather and the pandemic put our last two years' participation on hold, and this year, we’re expanding our efforts with other first responders as we provide some support to those who may be in need.”
