Squamish Search and Rescue are working on rescuing an injured dirt biker in Squamish with the help of a longline.
On Aug. 17, the volunteer crew was called after a male dirt biker on a trail behind Quest University fractured his leg, Squamish SAR president BJ Chute told The Chief. After getting to him by e-bikes, the SAR crew decided a helicopter longline would be the quickest and safest way to bring the biker to the hospital.
The biker was on the STP trail.
