Squamish RCMP is reminding holiday drivers heading up the Sea to Sky Highway to drive for the conditions.
On Saturday, many vehicles ended up in the ditch between Squamish and Whistler.
Squamish RCMP received a number of calls from motorists about vehicles sliding off the highway, according to Cpl. Kelly Dean.
The most notable of Saturday's events, was when compact snow and icy condition contributed to a three-vehicle crash near Chance Creek Forest Service Road.
FACT:Majority of drivers on #hwy99 have winter tires, collisions occur when people drive too fast for conditions.. but if we get called because you’re doing donuts in a parking lot with summer tires, you will get a $109 ticket and a tow bill to get you back to the LMD #lastnight pic.twitter.com/a7BrYSxHAb

All three vehicles involved had winter tires on, having tread depths exceeding the minimum 3.5 mm, Dean said.
"As temperatures throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor will remain at or below the freezing level, the Squamish RCMP would like to remind drivers that they should slow down and drive for the road and weather conditions," Dean said in an email to The Chief.
Although there were traffic delays for northbound traffic Saturday, there were no RCMP related Highway closures.
