Elections Canada needs poll workers in Squamish, Pemberton and Whistler.
These are paid positions and there is paid training.
"Poll workers are a crucial part of ensuring that every Canadian can vote," reads a news release from Elections Canada.
Poll workers are placed primarily at polling stations, where electors go to vote.
Various positions are available, from the deputy returning officer, who handles the ballots, to the information officer, who directs electors to the appropriate table, according to the release.
"During an election, poll workers are the front line and make it possible for electors to vote in an orderly fashion."

The job applications filled out online are sent directly to the applicant’s local Returning Office, based on their postal code.
Qualifications include that applicants be Canadian citizens and at least 16 years old.
