For the very first time, graduating Grade 12 students from Howe Sound Secondary, who also graduated from Squamish Elementary School six years ago, came to Squamish Elementary to participate a "Grade Walk,” on Wednesday, June 28.

The students in kindergarten to Grade 5 lined the hallways while the Grade 12s walked down the hall with the Grade 6s following behind, high-fiving the younger students in celebration of their final moments in high school and elementary school.

“As the Grade 12s walked the same halls they did when they were in elementary school, not only did they have the time to reflect on their own growth and be proud of their success, but they were an inspiration to all of the younger students who watched them and thought to themselves, ‘one day, that will be me,’” said Heather Feeney, one of the parents who organized the event.
