Three more candidates have put their names forward as candidates for the District of Squamish council in the Nov. 17 municipal election.
Uffe Hansen and Ted Prior declared their candidacy during the past week, while Mike Jenson who served on Squamish council from 2005 to '08 confirmed his intentions in a telephone interview with The Chief on Wednesday (Oct. 12). The three declarations swelled the field of declared candidates to 17.
So far, incumbent Coun. Rob Kirkham and council newcomer Auli Parviainen are the only two people to have declared their candidacy for Squamish mayor.
