I’m amazed travelling between Squamish and Whistler, how dangerous it is driving back and forth, especially during evening hours and rainy nights.
There’s an inability to see any highway markers highlighting the road/lanes.
The so-called road markers which are supposed to define the directional lanes are completely invisible and drivers have to guess where their side of the road is!
During Christmas, driving on the Malahat, I was amazed at how well the highway was marked, making driving less stressful.
Driving the Malahat was not guesswork like it is on the Sea to Sky Highway.
Why, with the amount of increased traffic and accidents that happen along there, have proper highway markers not been installed?
Are we just waiting for more accidents or even deaths to occur before government action is taken?
