RCMP have arrested a man accused of seven break-and-enters in Squamish and other areas of B.C.

Kevin Caron, a 38-year-old Surrey resident, is in custody in North Vancouver.

He is one of two people alleged to have stolen firearms, vehicles, jewelry, identity documents, and electronics.

The other suspect, Jennilee Weiler, is a 29-year-old woman believed to be in Alberta.

Officers are looking to arrest her in relation to multiple property-related offences.

“This investigation has definitely put a dent in these types of residential break-and-enters in Squamish and across B.C.," said Sgt. Gareth Bradley in a news release.

Police say investigators linked multiple incidents through DNA evidence, among other things.

Between 2014 and 2016, Squamish RCMP conducted an investigation into multiple residential break and enters within Squamish and across B.C., Alberta and Saskatchewan.

Officers from Delta, Surrey, Golden and Calgary were all involved in finding Caron, who is scheduled to appear in court on July 30 in North Vancouver.
