The proponents of the proposed year-round resort, Garibaldi at Squamish (GAS), have received a wrist slap from the Environmental Assessment Office (EAO).
David Negrin, CEO of GAS, was ordered in a letter from the EAO dated June 30 to complete more public consultation on the project’s supplemental application.
“A number of organizations who were identified in your supplemental application as being consulted on the supplemental application have indicated to EAO that they did not feel those consultation activities have been adequately discharged,” Chris Hamilton, EAO executive project director, said in the letter.
GAS was ordered to complete a more fulsome comment program by September 1.
