Pearl’s Value and Vintage is undergoing a transformation.
The beloved thrift store shared on their Instagram page that they are undergoing renovations to their backroom spaces as of Feb. 24.
This means donations will have to be kept to a minimum until further notice.
“We will be operating under limited donation capacity until further notice,” Pearl's Instagram page reads.
“We will do our best to conduct business as usual, but there will be some interruptions. Our storefront will not be affected much, just our receiving room, staff areas and washrooms which will be out of service.”
The thrift store will only be able to accept a maximum of three large bags or boxes per donation dropoff while renovations are underway.
They will also be closed on Thursday, Feb. 27.
“We will be open for the duration of the renovation process but there are some days we just won't be able to be open due to safety and noise levels,” they wrote.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience and grateful for the patience and support! See you every other day this week!”
To make things easier for staff and volunteers Pearls asks that people:
- Consider how much they are bringing at one time and if they have large amounts of donations please make multiple trips.
- Please bring patience when donating and wait your turn outside (one donor at a time).
- As always, do not leave donations outside under any circumstance.
Pearl’s says they expect the renovation process will take up to a few months and will share updates as they come.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding. We will be back to our regular capacity as soon as possible,” they wrote.
