The donations are stacking up at the annual "Cram the Cruiser, Fill the Firetruck, Sink the Ship" fundraiser today (Nov. 25).
First responders are at the second annual fundraising event in support of Squamish Community Christmas Care.
As last year, officers from Squamish RCMP, firefighters with Squamish Fire Rescue, and volunteers with Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 4 are collecting donations of toys, food, gift cards, or money to support needy families in town until 3 p.m.-ish.
The event is on near Walmart's front entry, which is located at 39210 Discovery Way.
In 2022, locals' generous donations overflowed from the assembled vehicles.
"The holidays can be a stressful time for families. This is just one way we can help out and give back to our community," said Staff Sgt. Gareth Bradley of the Squamish RCMP in a news release.
If you miss this event, you can always drop off donations for Community Christmas Care at The Squamish Chief's office on Second Avenue.
