Billies House has unveiled plans to relocate to 38133 Cleveland Ave. in downtown Squamish in the coming weeks.
In a news release, the shop announced the new location nestled between Corsa Cycles and Cleveland Meats. Billies' last day open at its current location was on Aug. 28.
On Aug. 29, workers were spotted inside the new building preparing the new space for occupancy.
“We are so excited to bring a beautiful new space to the community. Where all your senses are refreshed, where you can come for a peaceful experience, and where everyone can feel comfortable and welcome. Squamish is our home, and our community is what makes it so wonderful and special,” said one of the owners, Janine Reynolds, in the release.
The new space is roughly three times the size of the current location and is spread over two floors. The release noted that the business is undergoing its “biggest change” since it began roughly 50 years ago.
“The new space will allow Billies House to offer more floral, plan, home and lifestyle options as well as allowing capacity for larger and more wedding florals through Weddings With Billies,” reads the release.
They plan to open during the first full week of September.
“Cleveland Avenue strolls will need to be adjusted,” the release concluded.
The move by Billies House is just one of the new changes that is coming to the main strip of downtown Squamish, as its neighbour Zephyr Cafe announced it will close permanently on Sept. 25. 2Chill Gelato will also be closing around this same date.
