A rainfall warning has been issued for the Howe Sound region, including Squamish.
Heavy rain and strong wind is expected late tonight (Nov. 25), according to Environment Canada. The rain is expected to continue for most of Monday, with the total amount near 60 millimeters.
Environment Canada warns that heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.
If visibility is reduced while driving, turn on your lights and maintain a safe following distance. Slow down, watch for tail light and be prepared to stop. Watch for possible washouts near rivers, creeks and culverts.
