Squamish Fire Rescue put out a fire in what appears to be an abandoned house on Government Road between Mamquam Road and Garibaldi Way on Sunday night.
For a time, the fire department asked travellers to avoid the area while they battled the blaze.
The fire was out and the area reopened by 7:45 p.m. on Feb. 16, according to a post from the department.
On Monday morning, damage from the fire was visible, especially in the upper back portion of the house.
Other windows were also blackened and the glass missing.
There was graffiti on at least one window.
A local who lives nearby says it has been empty for some time.
A security guard is currently on duty at the property.
The neighbouring home appears not to have been damaged by the fire.
It has been a busy long weekend for local fire crews.
On Friday, firefighters tackled a vehicle fire at Loggers Lane and Vancouver Street.
