Saint Patrick’s Day is around the corner and The Squamish Chief has put together a roundup of all the places you can celebrate the day (or weekend) of green.

The Locavore Bar and Grill
Kicking off our roundup with an Irish bang is the Locavore Bar and Grill.
On March 16, the venue is hosting a free festive celebration kicking off at 5 p.m.
“Come get your jig on!! Or wear your bib on for our potato eating contest. Last year was a riot so you won’t want to miss this event as a contestant or a spectator,” reads their Facebook page.
The event will include a costume contest, potato eating competition, as well as food and drink specials and live music by The Tequila Monkeys.
Cliffside Cider
Across March 15 and 16, Cliffside Cider is hosting a weekend pop-up with Sea to Sky Cuisine and bringing with them wings!
“We’ll have the bbq cooking up some amazing WINGS, all weekend long to go with our thirst quenching craft CIDER!” reads their Instagram post.
Saturday’s event will run from 2 to 10 p.m. and Sunday’s from 1 to 6 p.m.
The Backyard
Sunday is the day for celebration for The Backyard.
Brunch is running from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with $10 double caesars.
A free show by Burke Johnson will kick off from 4 to 7 p.m. and a roast dinner beginning at 5 p.m.

Copper Beach Bar
This new Irish pub in Britannia Beach is ready to celebrate all things St. Paddy’s Day.
“Be sure to come and celebrate our 1st Paddy’s Day celebrations from Saturday 15th to Monday 17th,” reads their Facebook post.
“We’ll have amazing local musicians & some of the finest Irish dancers Vancouver has to offer!”
Line Dancing with Sharon Slater
On March 17 at the Brackendale Art Gallery Café & Culture Centre, line dancing will be sprinkled with a hint of Irish fun.
“Come join us for a fun-filled evening of line dancing with the talented instructor Sharon Slater. Get ready to kick up your heels and learn some new moves in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere,” reads their Facebook post.
“This session will include a special Saint Patrick's day performance by the Squamish Seniors Line Dancing Trouple, where they'll be showing off their Irish Dancing skills, teaching you a few simple steps as well!”
The event is open for beginners or seasoned professionals.
Doors open at 5.30 p.m. and tickets are going to $15 on Eventbrite.
The WaterShed Grill
A St. Patrick’s Day feature is being prepped for The WaterShed Grill on March 17.
“Good food, great drinks, and Guinness on tap—what more do you need for a proper St. Paddy’s celebration?” reads their Instagram post.
They’ll be serving a Guinness beef pot pie as well as bangers and mash, each for $19.50.
Drink specials include 20oz draught Guinness for $10, Jamesons for $6 and Moosehead Lager for $6.25.
