Eventual silver medallist Indy Tomic finds the speed on course at Kidsworx Enduro 2023.

The first two champions of this year's Crankworx Whistler are Emilie Simeur and Max Darlow.

Simeur was golden in the girls' 11-12 bracket of the Kidsworx Enduro with a combined three-stage time of eight minutes and 26.4 seconds. That left Indy Tomic to replicate her silver medal from 2023 with another such result (8:32.2) as bronze landed with Ruby Wong (08:34.8).

Among boys the same age, none could take down the victorious Darlow (7:33.2) who held off an earnest challenge from runner-up Thomas Brown (7:39.6) and Kyan Macleod in third (7:39.7).

Olivia Pollock prevailed in the girls' 9-10 event (9:44.4). Charlie Fripp grabbed second (9:56.1) as third went to Waverly King (10:11.6).

Meanwhile, Weston Lukens took gold over his fellows by a notable margin (7:56.2). Silver medallist Winston Rush was the only other U11 boy to crack the nine-minute barrier (8:21.5) and Sam Scott clinched bronze (8:32.7).

The U8 girls' title ended up with Amelie Mckay Huck (9:43.4), who was joined on her podium by Karis Roy (11:14.8) and Layla Curnew (11:37.6) in that order.

Max French reigned over the U8 boys' division (9:02.0) as Ryan Lai (9:31.9) and Brecken Larson (9:44.2) rounded out the top three.

In other news, the RockShox Canadian Open DH kicked off earlier on Saturday, with Camden Rutherfurd and Aletha Ostgaard taking the boys' and girls' U17 championships respectively.
