Toronto Marlies forward Alex Galchenyuk had a goal and an assist, but the Stockton Heat scored two late goals to defeat the Marlies 4-3 at the Coca-Cola Coliseum in Toronto Saturday.
Galchenyuk has had four points in four games with the Marlies since his first game March 1. Toronto acquired the forward via trade with the Carolina Hurricanes last month.
Connor Zary, Emilio Pettersen, Zach Leslie, and Alex Petrovic each scored a goal for the Heat (5-2-0-0). Stockton has won five consecutive games, with four of them coming at the expense of the Marlies.
Galchenyuk, Rourke Chartier, and Teemu Kivihalme were Toronto's goal scorers (6-6-0-0).
Toronto will return to action March 12 against the Laval Rocket. Stockton will play its next game Monday against the Manitoba Moose.
