If you went to New York City would you see a Broadway show? I would, which was why I recently attended your local production of Love Laugh Cry and the Music of Your Life at the Brackendale Art Gallery on April 29. I was blown away by the talent of Heather Feeney. Of course I was - she is a professional actress and singer who actually did live and perform in New York City. She is the real deal and she lives right there in Squamish! I was surprised to see how small the audience was but perhaps it was because she had never performed in Squamish before and no one knew her? I saw her perform several years ago in Vancouver in a production of the Rocky Horror show at the Arts Club Theatre and she was outstanding in that as well - superbly funny and an amazing tap dancer. If you missed this show, that's too bad. This duo of singer and pianist shared something special that I would highly recommend seeing in the future! I felt guilty for only paying $20. In New York, you would pay more than $75 to see a talent such as hers perform. Give yourself and some friends a treat and go see her next time. You won't have to fly to Broadway - you're already there.
