I am writing to you to ask you to not allow the building of a gondola to the top of Shannon Falls. This beautiful area has long been a great attraction to people in the lower mainland.
Many of us enjoy hiking and make the Chief or the top of Shannon Falls our destination. We delight in the beauty and peace we encounter. As a member of the B.C. Mountaineering Club, Vancouver Natural History Society, and the Golden Age Hiking Club, I am aware of how many enjoy visiting this area. Please do not allow it to become commercialized.
