Brackendaleans beware - the First Squamish Brownies will be trick or treating early this year around the Eagle Run area on Monday (Oct. 28) collecting non-perishable food items for the Squamish Food Bank. When shopping this weekend please pick up items that Brownies can donate to the food bank.
Residents 65 years and older are urged to attend the annual Seniors' Immunization and Wellness Fair on Wednesday (Oct. 30) from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the seniors centre. Please wear clothing with short sleeves and take along your Care Card. Much information and health tips will be available at the many displays. Enjoy complimentary tea/coffee and fruit and the Clock Tower Café will be open for lunch. As there is limited parking it is suggested you carpool or take the bus.
Halloween fun at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park runs tonight (Oct. 24) through Wednesday (Oct. 30). The pumpkin train is a 40-minute round trip and although children pay $24 for the trip, parents or guardians ride free. The pumpkin you choose might be the lucky one and contain a magic surprise. The fun at the park also includes craft stations, mini rail rides and more. Trains are at 10:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m., 1:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. weekends.
