I am writing to congratulate the Brackendale Babes and the other teams that participated this year in the relay for life.
The Brackendale Babes, for those who do not know, is a collection of mothers from Brackendale Elementary, who were the winning donation team for the Relay for Life this weekend.
They were able to donate collectively over $9,100. It would have been more had they not had their Pink Flamingos stolen earlier. These women are truly inspirational, not only are they hard working woman in their own right, but also they are mothers as well, donating their time to other events and their children's activities.
It was exciting and fun to watch them on the day of the event so enthusiastic and proud walking around the track with their pink boas and pink hoodies.
The best thing is that most of their children were there that day to watch their mothers doing something for the community and for the betterment of their human race.
This, I hope, is where they inspire their children. I know as an adult I was moved and could not help feel encouraged that there is still good in this world were people share themselves unconditionally for a greater cause.
Rock on Brackendale Babes, you are truly inspirational and hopefully more people will be influenced. Looking forward to that calendar next year!
