EDITOR,

Thank you to the Kozo Sushi Café for playing decent music on a quality sound system. Unfortunately, this is an anomaly among the merchants and café owners of Squamish. Why do so many business owners in this town think that it is acceptable to have a radio station (I won't mention the name), featuring numerous commercials, blaring though their premises on poor-quality sound systems? What could you possibly be thinking? Who wants to listen to indecipherable commercials booming away with distorted bass, while trying to relax with a coffee or shopping? Maybe this is part of the North American addiction to noise, and noise is certainly all I hear when I enter many of the businesses in Squamish.

Come on, business owners - can't you show more care and respect for the environment of your customers and staff than merely pressing a button on the radio every day? And if you can't afford the time and money to do it properly, quiet is OK, too.
