Letter: A message from Squamish's Phoenix Magnet Academy

'PMA is not affiliated with Quest University, but we are renting space here.'
New High school
Geoff Taylor, headmaster of Phoenix Magnet Academy with Jesse Godlington, the academy's experiential education co-ordinator on the Quest campus on Friday.

Regarding your recent story about Phoenix Magnet Academy (PMA) opening this fall, on the Quest University campus [New boarding high school launches in Squamish this fall, published Aug. 9 online]. Thank you. We appreciate the community’s interest.

I would also like your readers to know that we sincerely apologize to Quest University staff and alumni for any uncredited PMA website use of Quest’s promotional materials they so generously shared with us.

PMA is not affiliated with Quest University, but we are renting space here.

Staff and students at PMA are grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the community here, and we look forward to making positive contributions to Quest University and to Squamish.
