Alex Munro dedicated a lot of volunteer time for the benefit of the community and naming the fire hall after him was a good way to honour his memory. How can un-elected bureaucrats change something an elected council thought long and hard about? How is this even possible?
This latest nonsense is a case of the tail wagging the dog.
It is preposterous to suggest that a firefighter cannot make her way to a fire hall unless it is numbered!
There was a time when our local government had a sense of community. And they could make a decision and stand by it without hiding behind the skirts of the hired help.
