During COVID, there was lots of hate directed at people who refused to wear a mask.
As it turns out, wearing a mask did not move the needle one iota.
Why not publish some follow-up on this?
The mask represented something important in our society. It represented intolerance of people who thought differently. It represented mass hysteria. It represented silencing of opinions. It represented the truth that a society could fall prey to a stupid idea and succumb to tyranny.
It was not about the mask. It was about how easily people were manipulated.
It is estimated that 129 billion disposable face masks were thrown out every month worldwide. At 12 cents per mask, that is US$15.48 billion per month spent. Plastic is the main component of these masks. Environmental cost unknown.
Comprehend the damage done with the useless waste created by masks. Comprehend all the good that could have been done with the money spent on masks.
It is not with hindsight that we understand mask mandates were not helpful.
We knew this prior to the pandemic, as the World Health Organization’s own documentation showed. It was the silencing of any opposition, the silencing of voices, that led to this insane, stupid action.
