I was very happy to read that the developers of the Paradise Trails at Squamish equestrian project have filed a development permit. [“Paradise Trails submits development permit application to District of Squamish,' published online on March 13.]
As an avid horse person and looking towards moving to the area this would be perfect for my family. I have been following this project for many years and I am saddened that the district has dragged its feet on it.
This seems to me to be a project well suited to the area and with the addition of secondary suites, it would bring much-needed affordable housing to the area.
I hope the council approves this quickly and the developer can break ground soon!
